Dave Faneuf was born and raised in Lowell Massachusetts and has been married to Jacqueline Riley of Lowell since 1978. He began his radio career at a small station in Brattleboro Vermont (WKVT-am) in 1973 and has spent his entire career in New England. Faneuf says of the various news awards that he has won over the yeras, winning "Best Newscaster" in the 1996 A.I.R. (Achievement in Radio) has meant the most.

Faneuf currently has two jobs at WBUR. He assists in the writing for the local edition of "All Things Considered" and is on the air as an announcer/news anchor during the nights and weekends.
