Mary Ann Nichols

WBUR Underwriting

Mary Ann is WBUR's announcer and copy editor for underwriting.

She voices the hundreds of underwriting messages aired on WBUR each week. She first joined WBUR as a part-time news anchor in 1997, following a 15-year career as a classical music host and programmer at WCRB in Boston and WGMS in Washington, DC. From 2001-2003, she worked in WBUR's development department and assumed her present position in 2003.

Since 1995, Mary Ann has been the pre-concert speaker for the Boston Classical Orchestra at Faneuil Hall. She holds a B.A. in Speech & Drama from Catholic University in Washington, DC, and an M.A. in Drama from Tufts University in Medford, MA.
